I downloaded it for evaluation purposes.. and have not been all that impressed...

I need to play it some more tho.... ?? it seemed a little booring... very samey.

Remember, if its just the evaluation version you might not be doing it justice, you should get the full version and maybe then it will be good.

I read reviews, forums, and play the evaluation copy, sure no online play, but the driving engine doesnt feel nice...


So I think I did it justice. And it didnt cost me $109.00 from EB.

I dont advocate dodgy means. But when you are talking about $100+ bucks for a game... Id like to try it out before I spend my hard earned.

I have one of the largest legit pc game collections of anyone I know... so noone can claim I dont support the art... if it deserves my money I go get it .. if it doesnt I dont play it anymore....

i would imagine the cd key policy is very similar to battlefield's

Its been out on xbox 360 for a while. The driving engine really sucks. The cars do not feel right at all. I thought about getting the xbox steering wheel just in case that would improve things... but I have my doubts. I think the problem really is with the game... I play project gotham etc with a controller and they still feel more smooth/natural etc.

i must admit, i am a bit coutious as i've heard numeroud complaints of the xbox's driving style.

I am much more of a simulator driver than an arcade racer. But here's hoping the PC version will do it justice.

i believe it's out in stores... however there is barely anyone online ATM... i don't know what the server situation is, but theres only ever 1 or 2 other players in your vicinity, if anyone... but they seem to not lag much, so id hazard a guess and say they are australian...

heres hoping it gets somekind of community soon.

i got it but my screen goes black with no sound and i don't have a wheel so u would kick my ass even if it did work so is there like a patch out yet for it?

nah no official word on a patch yet homie but lots of people are having different problems with it, (blank screen, stuttering, network issues etc) so i imagine one will be on the horizon.


in the meantime try lowering your screen res and disabling any gamecontrollers you might have (including gameport in device manager). that seemed to fix a few peoples games who had problems similar to yours...

your account is linked to your gamespy ID. i remembered mine from years ago, and you can change your name through gamespyid.com, but it seems once you've entered your profile into the game it doesn't recodnise the change. oh well gay name for me.

Hey Log1k, i do have inbreds living near me. Right next door in fact. They complain about the noise of the special forces gun and C4 going off when i play BF2... of course i have my sound system going full bore too... not a good idea if i want to keep my neighbours as friends lol.

mmm drifting doensn't go as well as i'd hoped however, it takes some real skill t get a good drift going. (and lots a thrashing on my wheel....)

once u get to champion however (which im danerously close to) you get to unlock "hardcore mode" which makes cars act more like reallife, with no abs and less grip on the tires... so perfect for drifting.
