ebooks and converting

i have some ebooks that i want to read when i go on holidays. This means reading them on my psp which is no worries, the thing is all teh ebooks come in a .lit format and that can onli be read by certain viewers, i need a .txt or .pdf to read on my psp.

I have been searching for convertors but its not very easy, i was wondering if anyone had any experience with these and if they could help.
